People have gathered in the northern Indian city of Amritsar to mark the hundredth anniversary of a massacre committed during British colonial rule.
Hundreds were killed and more than a thousand injured when British troops opened fire on protesters in 1919.
UK Prime Minister Theresa May has called it a “shameful scar”, but no formal apology has been made.
